About Enthea

We craft herbal blends as offerings—invitations into presence, deep knowing, and transformation. Each one is designed to return you to that still point of self-belonging. Using only organic and wild-foraged ingredients, each tincture and brew is prepared with reverence, honoring the highest standards of sourcing integrity, ecological harmony, and energetic balance.

We are based out of Putney, Vermont (Sokoki Abenaki land), where we cultivate and craft all of our medicinal blends. Rooted in the vision of cultivating inner harmony, Enthea was founded by Allison Mandell, who has spent over two decades studying entheogens out of a deep devotion to the plants—as allies, teachers, and gateways into healing and belonging. She also continues to educate herself at the Gaia School of Healing under the training of folk herbalist and ethnobotanist Sage Maurer.

A former Executive Producer and Director of television, Allison is no stranger to the worlds of stress, depletion, and a deep call to rebalancing one’s self. After incredible burnout, the birth of her beautiful boy, and a desire for her profession to be infused with purpose and service, she returned to the place that was home all along - the world of plant medicine. She uses her ability to “hear” and feel the energy of plants, a kind of botanical synesthesia, to make her formulations. This is how Enthea was born.

Today Enthea carries the mission of weaving ritual and intention into daily life. Every blend is an opportunity for renewal and transformation, guiding us back to the sacred within and around us.

Our Approach

  • Highest Quality Ingredients

    Many herbal medicines have carefully grown plants, but are then covered in alcohols such as Everclear or vegetable glycerins that can be derived from sources like corn, soy, or palm oil. We have chosen a different path for our products. At Enthea we use brandy specially made for us by Flag Hill Farm, a solar powered organic apple orchard here in Vermont. For glycerin we use organic, pharmaceutical grade coconut glycerin. It is our belief that these beautiful plant medicines should be of the highest quality in every aspect, to respect both the plants and our customers at the highest level.

  • Energetic Integrity

    At every phase of the medicine’s creation, the highest level of energetic integrity is maintained. We communicate with the plants at each step—through watering, harvesting, and careful tending—honoring their intelligence and vitality. The medicines then macerate nestled within crystal quartz, which holds clear, elevated frequencies. Each day we sing to and gently swirl the preparations, ensuring full integration of their essence and the extraction of their potent medicinal properties. The result is a medicine whose energy resonates at an extraordinarily high frequency, palpable in every single drop.

  • Believing in Balance

    Each medicine is created not to “fix” anything, but to bring you back into balance. We believe every person is already whole and cannot be damaged or broken; symptoms are simply the body’s way of signaling that something has shifted and inviting you to offer care. Plants are exceptional energetic restoratives, helping the body return to alignment, peace, and ease—not by overriding your system, but by supporting you in listening to the intelligence within.
